Escape button problem

Hello guys when I press escape button in minecraft it directs me to homscreen, I have been placing this problem for so long now. I am using a laptop with the new keyboards key system where F1, F2, F3 like keys are assigned different functions like emoji brightness keyboard light etc.

*Also, I am not redirected to the homscreen everytime* this is the tricky part, it doesnt redirect me to homescreen everytime. It happens when like I am in an bedwars match which requires me pressing different keys, after doing that when I try to close my inventory with escape I am redirected to the homscreen. Its so annoying
