If you run a door, window, or home improvement business and your website is not appearing on Google's first page — your next customer is finding your competitor right now.

This is the real SEO case study of a UK-based composite door and window company that had an excellent product, a decent-looking website, and almost zero visibility on Google. We've uploaded the full video case study above — watch it for the complete before-and-after breakdown. The written version continues below.

# The Starting Point: A Good Business Google Couldn't Find

When this client came to us, their website was receiving around 10 organic visitors per month. Search Console showed 8 impressions. Zero clicks. The business sold premium composite doors, French doors, patio doors, and windows — products people actively search for every day — but Google was not ranking or recommending them for any of it.

This is one of the most frustrating situations in **SEO for door companies**: a business that deserves to rank, with customers actively searching, but no visibility whatsoever. The product was never the problem. The website's technical foundation and authority were.

# What Our SEO Audit Found

Proper **window and door SEO** starts with understanding exactly why Google is not ranking a site before deciding how to fix it. Our audit identified five clear problems:

**Slow page speed.** In a competitive category like **SEO for window companies**, page speed directly affects both rankings and conversion rate. The website was failing Core Web Vitals across the board.

**Pages not properly indexed.** Critical service pages — composite doors, French doors, patio doors — were either not being crawled correctly or not indexed at all, meaning they could not appear in search results regardless of how good the content was.

**Meta titles and descriptions not optimised.** Every page was either missing them entirely or using generic text with no keyword targeting. Basic **window company SEO** requires every page to tell Google — and the searcher — exactly what it offers.

**Virtually no internal linking.** Pages were isolated from each other, which meant Google could not understand the site structure or pass authority between related pages.

**Weak backlink profile.** The domain had almost no referring domains of relevance or authority. Without backlinks from trusted sources, **door company SEO** struggles to compete against established businesses regardless of how well on-page elements are optimised.

# The SEO Strategy We Built

Rather than chasing quick fixes, we built a structured long-term growth system — the kind of approach that defines real **SEO services for window companies** and **SEO services for door companies** that want sustainable results.

**High-intent keyword research.** We identified exactly what potential customers were searching for — not generic terms, but local, commercial-intent searches that drive genuine inquiries. Phrases like "composite doors near me," "French doors supply and fit," and "replacement windows \[city\]."

**Full on-page optimisation.** Every service page rebuilt with SEO-friendly titles, optimised meta descriptions, proper heading structure, schema markup, and a complete internal linking architecture connecting related pages.

**Technical SEO overhaul.** Page speed improvements, Core Web Vitals fixes, crawlability corrections, and proper indexing of every service page. As a **window and door SEO agency**, this is always where we start — because no amount of content or links overcomes a broken technical foundation.

**Authority building through backlinks.** High-quality backlinks acquired from relevant, trusted websites in the home improvement and construction space — increasing domain authority and helping the business compete against much larger, more established competitors.

# The Results

* **Organic visitors: 10 → 1,400+ per month**
* **Google Search Console clicks: 0 → 1,080+**
* **Search impressions: 8 → 52,000+**
* **Multiple commercial keywords moved from pages 5-6 to page one — several reaching position one**

This is what **SEO for window and door companies** delivers when it is built on a proper strategy — not just traffic, but qualified inquiries from people actively searching for exactly what the business sells.
