Atypical Inverse Psoriasis

Age: 30

H: 5'8

W: 175lbs

Other conditions: joints hurt when sick or the seasons change, T1D, Restless Leg Syndrome

My doctor diagnosed a weird skin mark I had as inverse psoriasis. But the thing is it's not on a crease or skin fold. Its on the top of my thigh? Also it says its something only people with psoriasis get, but I have never had psoriasis before?

Is this normal (albeit atypical) presentation or should I be following up with my doc re: my concerns?
