Are traditional signboards slowly becoming obsolete?
I was walking through a shopping mall recently and noticed that almost every new store was using some kind of digital display instead of printed banners.
It got me wondering—are traditional signboards actually becoming obsolete, or do they still make more sense for many businesses?
From what I've seen, LED displays seem to have a few obvious advantages:
- Content can be updated instantly.
- Videos grab more attention than static posters.
- No need to reprint banners for every promotion.
But they're also a much bigger upfront investment.
If you own a business, work in retail, or install signage:
- Have you switched to digital displays?
- Was the investment worth it?
- Where do you think traditional signboards still have an advantage?
I'd love to hear some real-world experiences rather than just marketing claims.
