Need advice on getting an e-bike for university commute

So basically, I’m a university student and I live pretty far from my university. I currently use the Metro/public transport, and almost 1.5–2 hours gets wasted each way. That’s basically 4 hours of my day gone just commuting 😭

The government recently announced an e-bike scheme for college/university students in Punjab, and I was honestly pretty excited about it because a bike would make my daily commute SO much easier.

The problem is… my university is in Islamabad 😭💀

So apparently I’m not eligible because the university isn’t located in Punjab, even though I’m a Pakistani student and the whole thing would genuinely help me a lot.

I’m basically looking for advice on what my options are. Is there any similar student e-bike scheme in Islamabad? Any affordable financing options for students?

I don’t really need anything fancy, I just want something reliable enough to cut down those 3–4 hours of daily commuting.
