While Prince Harry has stated he wants a reconciliation with his father, the royal reporters ignore that he always follows this up with saying that reconciliation must come with truth (of wrongdoing). I think Charles has shown he is incapable of this by ongoing antagonistic behaviour including blocking Harry's security while unlike what former chief royal protection officer Neil Basu said, pretending he does not have this power and also playing PR games over pretending to offer him a room to stay in Buckingham Place last month and then withdrawing this with a silly excuse when Harry accepted. A mention must be given to Charles only making an effort to meet with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet when the optics were looking bad for him nationally and internationally too.

I believe that Harry understands that he will never get decency from his father or a true reconciliation but as always the royal reporters have to make it seem like Harry is so in awe of proximity to royalty and desperate for this to be seen publicly. That totally contradicts Harry attending Charles's Coronation and leaving to return home at super speed and only visiting his father after the Cancer scare. But while Charles blocking security meant that Meghan could not attend and support the one year to go event last month for Birmingham Invictus 27, Russell Myers writes this article to push the narrative that Harry desperately wants Charles to be heavily involved in major events at Invictus next year including possibly opening it. Of course this report is based on an anonymous insider apparently telling Russell that Harry feels this way. I don’t believe this source and we are constantly told that Harry's team do not brief royal reporters like Russell for the tabloids off the record. They make open written statement with the goal of not being misquoted.

**My theory**

I think that since Charles is the head of the armed forces Harry would want his father to afford the veterans the respect that Charles has pathetically not given them over the last 6 years to Invictus and the UK team because Harry stepped down as a working royal and he is a petty silly man. So I think he would want to invite Charles to attend and perhaps maybe for him to do a speech in support of the UK team and the games as a whole, but then I think he would want Charles to pretty much get lost.

Any significant involvement by Charles and the Royal Family will always lead to drama and be a distraction through the royal rota that they brief to write stories of the gossip on family dramas and dynamics. It would distract from the games which Harry hates. He would not want that brought into the games. Especially as it will always be written to make him look bad and Meghan would probably be a bigger media target and then blamed for taking all the attention.

I actually think that if it wasn't for the fact that Invictus is so Prince Harry branded and uncontestable as his successful achievement and project, it is more likely that Charles and some other Royal family members would love to be heavily involved in order to be associated with what is seen as a inspiring and amazing event. Perhaps even to take credit for some of it too!

Obviously the front page headline is incredibly disingenuous for this article as it seeks to convey a quote that Harry said, which he did not and in this, this idea of him being desperate to be proximate and united with Charles. I think that as per usual the royal reporters are writing what they want people to think Harry feels rather than what he actually does feel of his bad dad father. To me it feels like the Royal reporters are trying to force a bigger role for Charles with Invictus.

Is Royal Reporter Russell Myers trying to push for Bad Dad King Charles to have a big role in Uk Invictus in Birmingham 27 with a false narrative that Prince Harry is desperate for this when he’s not really?
