Engineering to Acting

Hello! I am a 23 (turning 24) year old engineer who dreams of becoming an actress and a singer. This is actually my dream since highschool but i am a very shy person so i never really had the courage to pursue it earlier. Now, i am gaining confidence so i want to try. I am not taking any professional lessons for now but i am watching a lot online. I am worried that maybe i am too late to start. Any tips or advice? Thank you!
