Why i still use human writers even after using AI for everything else

Discussion

This morning i went through a Martech report on AI and marketing production and one number stopped me

As per their research 88% of marketers said AI generated content still needs moderate or substantial editing before it can be used. Only 1% said little to no editing

Many agencies believe that no need for human writers anymore and this number is a hope, and must be an insight.

So we are using AI to produce faster but a human is still fixing almost everything that comes out. The speed should help agencies to scale but the removal of human judgment will make a downfall, is what i observed. This document is proving that.

The other finding i found interesting is the measurement gap. 69% of teams measure email performance by click through rate. Only 41% track revenue or pipeline influence. So AI is speeding up production but we are measuring the output with a wrong ruler.

So this is exactly why i don't use AI for writing. I use it for research, analysis, outlines, keyword gaps. The writing goes to our content writers because the editing overhead of fixing AI copy is closer to rewriting than reviewing, is what i noticed. And rewriting costs more time than writing properly from the start.

The report basically confirms that AI is a production accelerator not a production replacement.
