Have to choose today between Rav4 2022 or Tucson 2025
Hey going pretty insane over here. We made 2 testdrives and both great cars. We're in the Netherlands and looking to use this car a lot. About 25k kilometers yearly.
- Toyota Rav4 (here also sold as Suzuki Across) 2.5 PHEV dec 2022 with 34k kilometers for 38k euro.
- Hyundai Tucson 1.6 PHEV Comfort (base trim and FrontWD) aug 2025 with 6 kilometers (new) for 37k euro.
I feel like it's insane to buy the Across as it's 3.5 years old with older tech and worse steering. But me and my wife kinda fell in love with the raw character of the Across. The extra kick in acceleration is fun, but te Tucson corners quite bit better. The Tucson feels like a car and the Across feels more like a suv or truck.
Any pointers? I believe in both cases we don't really have to worry about reliability for the next few years. We're looking to keep it for about 10 years.
