Playing Smaller Can Still Be Playing Too Long
I used to treat smaller stakes like they solved everything.
Lower bet, calmer session, less risk per round. Responsible, right?
Sometimes, yes.
But smaller stakes can also make it easier to justify staying forever. The damage feels slower, the decisions feel lighter, and leaving feels less urgent.
The edge doesn’t disappear because the pace feels comfortable.
It just gets more time to do its job.
Sometimes the safer-looking version of the session is only safer per click, not safer overall.
