The dinner is the quiche Lorraine I’ve made with my roommates.

So me and my girlfriend have been dating for a bit over a year and we’ve overcome so much, I’m immensely proud of us and love her dearly, but there’s one problem that has never come close to being resolved. We just generally aren’t active in bed too much.
At first i thought that maybe it’s just that our drive is mismatched or that she is not comfortable enough. I’ve brought it up multiple times, tried to communicate and all, but more often than not the only answer i get is that i just don’t initiate often enough followed by all the times we “could’ve” being listed out to me.
I do have an above average sex drive (although gf swears she also does) so I was kinda prepared that I’m unlikely to have all my needs and desires met fully, I’m willing and happy to seek compromise or just accept my partner’s terms if they were laid out to me. It’s not the lack of sex that bothers me, it’s more so that i haven’t gotten a clear and honest answer.
Whenever i ask what would be appropriate time for me to suggest intimacy (if at all), i’m always met with “whenever you want, it’s the only thing i’m thinking about 24/7”. But when i actually do so, it’s usually never the place or the time or whatever.
Yesterday we were sitting on my bed, watching youtube and i felt as if i’m spending my time with a good friend or a sister. It saddens me how good it felt to not have the thought of something being wrong with me or us hanging in the back of my head. But it did, it felt very good and after some thought, i’ve decided that i will not pursue anything sexual with her. I know a relationship like this probably wouldn’t last long, but that’s the only way i can enjoy it.

I think me and my gf should go platonic
