Reservation Nightmare
Reserved an uber x for a buddy and me to leave a suburban concert venue at 11:05pm to head back to the city of chicago about a 35 minute ride for $65.
Concert ends at 11:00 sharp, and Uber lets me know at 11:05 that my driver is on the way and will arrive at 11:50pm. Driver is still in Chicago.
Worried about availability and not wanting to lose a ride option, a friend calls an uber x on his phone for $100+ and nothing confirms for 5 mins. Tired of waiting we accept fate of the $127 uber priority.
Is there anything I can do out of this frustrating experience? Time and money was wasted as uber did not show up for the agreed upon place and time despite “confirming” 2 hours beforehand.
They are quick to charge a cancelation fee if you try to cancel beforehand but leave you high and dry if the driver cancels!
