How much money should I take?

Hey, I have a potential client asking for a video project and I’m trying to figure out how you’d price something like this. The job isn’t just editing. They want to send me all of the raw footage, and my responsibilities would include:

- Watching and organizing all the raw footage.

- Figuring out the overall story and narrative.

- Building the storytelling from scratch.

- Splitting everything into 3 episodes.

- Deciding the pacing and where each episode should end (cliffhangers, etc.).

- Planning where voice-over should go.

- Suggesting what additional voice-over lines or pickups the client should record.

- Editing in a documentary style, not just a vlog; color correction, sound design, music, transitions, subtitles if needed, and the usual finishing work.

So it’s basically part editor, part story producer, part documentary editor.

For those of you who do freelance editing: how would you charge for something like this? and roughly what would you quote if the client has several hours of raw footage?

Curious what people in the industry would consider a fair price.
