Another dead dad??

Listen, I love these high quality music videos as much as the next girl, but good god why do they keep doing videos where the woman has a dead dad/husband and can’t bear to go on?

Like I get this is an emotional brand and having an intense visual like that is amazing and does represent a lot of women’s struggles to find themselves…but what happened to representing happy, content women who just want a place to belong and feel confident??

At this rate they’re gonna have to start putting the suicide hotline number at the end…
