Thoughts on these degrees?
I’m mainly interested in HIM and Healthcare Administration, but I don’t know if they’re even worth pursuing anymore because of them becoming saturated. The only experience I have is as an RBT, so I’m also worried about how hard it’ll be to get an entry-level job after I graduate in 2–4 years.
I also want a career that pays really well, so I’ve been going back and forth between HIM, Healthcare Administration, Accounting, Finance, and Health and Human Services.
I don’t think coding is for me—I don’t think I’d enjoy it. Healthcare is definitely the field I could see myself in the most, but I’m not sure if the pay and career growth are actually good enough with these degrees.
I guess what I’m trying to figure out is whether HIM or Healthcare Administration are still good choices, how difficult it’ll be to get into the field with only RBT experience, and whether I’d be better off going with something like accounting or finance if my goal is to have a stable, high-paying career.
