first time taking care of a lovebird

hi, i have never had bird as a pet before and recently i decide to buy a lovebird and im asking for some advices!

pls tell me your experience and essential details i need to keep in mind ^^

is it okay to keep them in a room with no sunlight? because my room doesn't have any window. and it's pretty hot in my country so i wonder whether it's okay to let them live in an air-conditioned room?
