I don’t feel like I deserve to be promoted
I’m a white belt (just passed my blue belt test and am getting belted this week) and I just don’t know if I’m good enough to be a blue belt.
I’ve been training for two years and I’ve been to several competitions. I love jiujitsu and I’ve genuinely learned so much. I have a little bit of a game I’m developing and I love hitting omoplatas and armbars out of guard and dead orchard. But at the same time I feel so behind sometimes, and like the other new blue belts are so far ahead of me.
I’m 5’8 and a 137 lb female and I fight at light weight and I know some of it is that I need to weight train and get stronger but I still get smashed in side control when I roll with dudes at my gym. I just feel like I could be so much better than I am and having lost my last competition I don’t know what my coach sees in me and if I’m good enough to get my belt.
