Electrical Engineering Sophomore
Hi everyone!
I’m taking CMPEN 270 (Oren Gall), EE 210 (Salvia), and MATH 250 (Taoli Shen) this semester, and I’m honestly feeling a bit overwhelmed after seeing so many people describe CMPEN 270 and EE 210 as some of the tougher courses.
For some context, I got an A in PHYS 212, so I’m not too worried about the theoretical/math-heavy side of things. What I’m more nervous about are the labs in CMPEN 270 and EE 210.
Could anyone who has taken these classes share:
- How the labs are structured?
2)What made them difficult (or manageable)?
3)What’s the best way to stay on top of the coursework throughout the semester?
4)Any study habits or resources that helped you do well?
I’m aiming to do really well in both courses, so I’d appreciate any advice from people who’ve been through them.
(Also, would it be inappropriate to ask if anyone has last semester’s practice exams, old papers, or review materials for either class? If anyone is willing to share resources, I’d really appreciate it, please feel free to DM me.
As for MATH 250, I’m not too worried since math is generally my strongest subject, but if you have any recommendations for Taoli Shen’s section or tips for succeeding in the course, I’d love to hear them as well.
Thanks in advance :))
