Rant + Prep for Cardiologist Appt

Discussion

I don't know which flair this post fits in.

For context: These episodes started from March/April where I would sort of have a crash after heavy meals. I initially thought it was diabetes and checked my sugar and HbA1c, it was normal.

Then my then client spoke about POTS and I did a standing test at home, my heart rate would jump from 75/112 sometimes 80/124 or even 130. I didn't purchase a good brand for the smart watch, so it doesn't track that well.

For context: I have hypermobility and fibromyalgia. I do feel I have hsd/hEDS. I scored 6/9 on the beighton scale. I'm based in India so I haven't found doctors who actually diagnose this plus they often tell me it's anxiety etc. When I had joint pain it took almost 2 years to find a doctor who actually considered helping me but we still don't see eye-to-eye on the hypermobility section.

Around May I met my GP, we did an ECG, all normal. My GP put me on beta- blockers, it worked for a month or two but slowly, the high hrt and dizziness started slipping in. My chest often hurts, tightness and sharp pain. We recently changed to another beta-blocker with a longer peak period but the chest pain and dizziness is slipping in again. I'm also having chills, temperature dysregulation, sometimes too hot and too cold. Feeling dizzy in hot showers too or heavy meals. Starting to feel really exhausted and weak. Often crashing in the middle of the day.

It's getting harder and harder to function and stick to my daily routine. I don't know how to present this to doctors without being misunderstood. I'm considering looking into a cardiologist and I want to do my best to prepare for it.

I'm also feeling so frustrated and trying to be strong by telling myself I'll manage, I'll figure it out. I know it's not an easy journey. I'm scared.

How does one prepare for their first cardiologist appointment?
