Games crashing after an upgrade

i upgraded my pc from ryzen 3 1200 to ryzen 5 5600xt but nearly all of my games are crashing after 2 or 5 minutes of playing. i checked my cpu temp and its sitting at 70 degree celsius on desktop. tried to reseat my cooler and reapplying the thermal paste but same thing. also im having memory errors is that caused of cpu overheating?
my cooler is wraith stealth amd the same that i used with my old cpu. searched the web and it seems fine running it with my new cpu
