Money stuck in HDFC's PayZapp wallet over a month, need help!!!

Question

I am looking for advice from anyone who has dealt with a similar issue or knows how to escalate this further.

My PayZapp wallet has been locked since 30 June 2026, and I still cannot log in or access my money. Initially, the app showed "You've exhausted all your login attempts. Please try again after 24 hours." Later, HDFC informed me that my account was disabled due to "suspicious activity," but they never explained what activity was considered suspicious.

Some important points:

•My PayZapp wallet was fully KYC verified.

•All my transactions were within HDFC's prescribed limits.

•The money in the wallet is my personal savings from legitimate sources.

•I was never given any prior warning or asked for clarification before my wallet was blocked.

•I raised multiple complaints, emails, and support tickets. Every case was marked "Resolved", but nothing was actually resolved.

•Support later told me I needed an active HDFC relationship (bank account or credit card) to restore the wallet.

•I even tried opening an HDFC Savings Account, but my application was rejected, leaving me with no way to satisfy their requirement.

•Their support team then asked me to submit a balance transfer request with PAN and a cancelled cheque. I have already submitted everything, and the new transfer ticket is still In Progress.

It has now been more than a month, and I still have no access to my wallet or my savings. This has caused me significant financial and mental stress.

Has anyone here faced a similar issue with PayZapp or HDFC Bank?

Were you able to get your wallet unlocked?

How long did the balance transfer take?

Should I wait for the transfer ticket, or should I now escalate the matter to the RBI Complaint Management System (CMS)?

Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
