we have four international contractors and the "platform fees" on deel are starting to hurt. i get that they handle the legal "compliance" stuff, but $50-100 per person every month just to send a wire transfer feels like a massive markup. has anyone found a more budget-friendly way to pay global talent that still keeps us safe from tax audits? we just need basic contracts and a way to send usd without a 5% "convenience fee."
