Mr Potato Head feeling annoyed, angrily asked how he got stuck with Rex being his moving buddy. Rex replied that everyone else was paired up already.

however Buzz and Woody werent there when they got packed for moving. Had they not fought, They and whoever Bo ended up with, would still be options. (While Bo wanted Buzz, Buzz hadn’t agreed to go with her yet. ) Meaning one of them could have had Rex or even someone else if Slinky would have agreed to be Woodys.

The reason why the Woody vs buzz fight got so bad is because every time Woody attempted to take the high road and let things slide or Bo comforted him, it was often met with toys, especially Mr Potato Head, mocking Woody.

Had Mr Potato Head not bullied Woody so much, He might have had a moving buddy he liked more.
