Any hope for this to be saved

question

I'm a healthy 29M. I don't drink or smoke and I brush my teeth thouroughly on a regular basis (at least in the last few years). But some teeth like this one had already started decaying before I became serious about my mouth hygiene, and I haven't been able to pay the dentist a visit mainly because of financial constraints and mental health issues.

I don't quite remember what I chewed on it a few days back, but I'm pretty sure it was not that hard of a food, but it somehow still broke, and there has been this little peace of it that is barely hanging in there. I have been mainly chewing on the other side since that happened in order to prevent further damage.

The molar just above it is possibly gone, so I can't afford to lose this one as well. Please tell me if it has a chance to be fixed with a root canal and a crown. I know it's hard to tell without an x-ray, but I just wanted to know what to expect.

Please note that the prices of dental procedures where I live widely differ from the ones in the US and Europe. And a root canal and a crown cost less more than an implant for some reason.
