Why did he want to kiss me so bad if I’m not his type?
My friend (M20) , who I’ve known for 6 months kissed me (F23) (I’m black) a month ago in his room. He asked if I wanted some drinks, We talked, watched a movie, he cuddled me, and then he pulled me in, wanting to kiss me.
He initiated all of it. He was a bit intoxicated during this. During the kiss, he said “I kinda want you.” I could tell he wanted to sleep with me, but he didn’t because I said I didn’t want to go that far and he respected my decision. I remember him saying in a group setting, a few months ago, how he “only likes white girls” and his now girlfriend is white. So I know for a fact that’s his type and he’s not lying. There was no reason for him to lie about his type. The kiss didn’t catch me completely off guard though, because I had a feeling he had a “thing” for me prior to the kiss.
We’d go out with different friend groups but we’d run into each other and he would dance with me, we’d walk together and hold hands, and I could tell he maybe liked me? Ever since the kiss, he’s so awkward around me. He never mentioned what happened and we don’t talk like we use to. And a week after the kiss, I saw him with his girlfriend for the first time.
Did he regret it? Why did he kiss me if I’m not his type? (I already had a bit of a crush on him which is why I decided to kiss him in the first place) TL;DR;
