[Web, Beta] Looking for feedback on a browser Markdown editor that saves to local files

I built Local Markdown for people who already have .md files and want to edit them without installing an app or uploading the document.

I’m looking for desktop Chrome or Edge users to try this short workflow:

  1. Open an existing .md file.
  2. Switch between Visual, Markdown, and Split view.
  3. Make a change, wait for autosave, and reload the page.
  4. Paste a screenshot if you can.
  5. Tell me where you hesitated or what felt unclear.

The selected document stays on your computer and saves back to the file you chose. There is no account. The hosted page needs internet to load the editor library, but you can also download the standalone local-markdown.html file and open it directly from your own computer.

Test it here: https://local-markdown.github.io/

Full disclosure: I’m the developer. The feedback I need most is whether file permissions, autosave, and workspace recovery feel trustworthy and understandable.
