I was told that the online communities are very divisive and to explore irl trans communities and events, that they’re so much better

So I had started going to these queer events at a bar, usually poetry night to interact with other offline trans people.

The first iteration was a trans woman loudly broadcasting her “poetry” about how much she hates cis men and women and wishes she could forcibly transition them to ruin their mental health. Everyone applauded, most were vocal about agreeing.

Is this really how it’s gonna fucking go 🫩

I am exhausted trying to find communities that don’t lean to the extremes. I’ve avoided interacting with the community irl because of repeated extreme interactions online, only to finally bite the bullet and have the exact thing happen irl.
