The party has delved into an abandoned crypt in search of a local noble family’s heirloom. After vanquishing some skeletons,

the party has moved past some double doors and are confronted with a strange sight.

A young woman, perhaps twenty years old, lay there in tattered traveling robes. Her left leg was bent at a hideous angle,

clearly broken. Dried blood crusted her side where something had torn through her clothing. She was breathing, but shallowly,

and her face was pale with pain and fear. As Zelnar’s faint presence disturbed the still air, her eyes fluttered open.

Torchlight from the stairs finally reached her, and she stared up in wide-eyed terror.

“Who—who are you?” she whispered hoarsely, voice cracking. “Please… beware of them…”
