Unable to load into trials

Hello! I installed outlast trials last night and have not been able to load into a trial. I played the tutorial just fine but when I go to play an actual trial, I can't get out of chairs... I've restarted my pc and steam, verified files, and reinstalled. I let it run and after 15+ minutes I'm still at chairs. I am unsure of what I can do to actual play a trial. Any advice?
