A slow-burning fuse is the most mesmerizing of all pyrotechnics. Once lit, it burns steadily - slowly, deliberately, inching towards an ultimate explosion of light and color - but teasing, you wait, held in rapt attention as it smokes and sparks. It takes its own time - patient, determined - inch by inch, bit by bit - inexorable.

48, tall (6'0"), regular visitor to the gym, but also public libraries and bookstores. Love a little *edge* to my life - living oh so slightly dangerously from time to time - I know I'm playing with fire - but I also know how to play carefully.
