3 weeks on Zoloft...struggling
TW: mention of pregnancy loss
I'm in desperate need of advice/reassurance.
I started on Zoloft 3 weeks ago at 25g and increased to 50g after 1 week.
I've had anxiety and panic disorder for many years that I never did anything about. I could still live a pretty normal life just wasn't able to drive and struggled socially. Then 4 months ago I had a stillbirth and my world was torn apart, so the anxiety became terrible and I started to have sort of mini panic attacks again. So I finally started on the meds.
Since day 1 I have felt much worse. I am even more anxious and feel like I can't really relax or keep still. There's a lot of adrenaline. And the panic is worse that I can't even do basic things like get on a bus. Luckily I'm off work at the moment but I feel as though I can barely leave the house.
I've had no other side effects, just the extra anxiety. No positive effects or feelings yet either.
I only know one other person on these meds and she told me what I'm feeling isn't normal and that I should stop. But everything I read said to wait at least 4 weeks.
So, is this normal? Do I wait it out? Does 4 weeks start from the very start or from when I increased to the full dose? Could these horrible side effects last way longer? Any advice would be great, thank you
