Built an AI job application tool — 3 friends who tried it early got job offers with it. Would love real feedback (not just "looks cool")
I've done freelance work for a while, and along the way I kept seeing the same pattern with friends and clients job hunting: solid experience, but their resume either wasn't tailored per role or wasn't ATS-friendly, so it never made it past the first filter.
So I built Arc (https://arc.heurystic.com/) — an AI resume builder that helps tailor and optimize resumes faster, without rebuilding from scratch for every application.
I shared it with a few people I know before posting anywhere, and honestly didn't expect much — but 3 of them ended up landing job offers using resumes they built with it. That's been the most encouraging part of this so far, but a handful of friends being happy isn't the same as it actually being good. I want to know if it holds up outside that circle.
So I'd genuinely appreciate honest feedback, not just "nice idea" comments:
- Does the core idea solve a real problem, or is this space already saturated?
- What's confusing, weak, or missing in the flow?
- From a builder's perspective — stack, onboarding, positioning — what stands out as off?
- If you tried it, what would make you actually keep using it vs. going back to a Word doc/Canva?
Happy to answer anything about how it's built or the AI side of things in the comments. Trying to actually improve this, not just collect upvotes.
