Who has recently done pen-welcome?

We tried Saturday. We spent 4 hrs stuck in a muck bog, because beavers had dammed the Galipo at Pen, and also watched 2 other groups give up the same day.

Kudos to the 1 group of 2 canoes that continued through.We were living that scene from neverending story, since we had an Ultralight loaded with 400 lbs (us plus gear). Even with having the people walk knee deep in the muck, it was not quite within possible for us.
