"Realm-level" DND Campaign - Long Form, Discord, Asynch

Hi all,

A few months ago I posted about a Realm level DND campaign - it's been running since then. I'm looking for five or so people to top up the numbers though.

We have a fully implemented custom website that handles the RP and gives a good summary of current positions, but a lot of players are still old fashioned and use Discord which works too!

We're on the approach to the climax of Arc 1 (out of 6) so it's a great time to join!

Hi all!

A few years ago I ran a custom "realm-level" campaign for a few people, where the characters people played were in charge of territory and played with realm level threats and problems. I've recently revamped that ruleset to make it much easier to get into, and I'm looking on setting up a new game!

Every player runs a powerful character. A baron, a merchant guild head, a cult leader, a gang boss. Anyone in control of a meaningful territory or organisation. You start small with a court of officers and a piece of land (or a network of buildings etc). Over the campaign you'll grow it, scheme with or against the other players, and deal with whatever the arc's overarching threat happens to be. The core is still DND 5E, but with a few more rules on top to represent the bigger scale - these rules get gradually introduced over time as players go from Barons to Emperors (or the equivalent in different types of realm). 

Expecting the time commitment to be about an hour or so a week (split up into 10-20m increments), all text based via Discord and asynch - reply when you have time. I'm setting up a custom web app to support with the more "stat based" rules too. Anything goes in terms of factions, traditional feudal rules or secretive underworld cultists all fit here.
