How're the MBA programs of IITs?

So I've seen a lot of people opt for the new or baby iims instead of the MBA programs in IITs, even though from my research I've found the IITs have lower fees, decent enough placements and also lower cutoffs. Is there a reason people don't choose those? Do they run after the IIM tag or is it something else?
