Hello, I’d like to share my experience with Steam Support and ask if this is normal. On June 19, 2026, I was playing CS:GO 2—I played for most of the evening—and at one point, the game simply closed; I tried to log into Steam and launch the game afterwards, but I couldn't. A day or two later, I logged into Steam and saw a red notification stating that my profile was restricted and blocked. After some time had passed—about a month into the restriction (sometime in July)—I contacted Steam Support using the blue "Contact Steam Support" button and began communicating with a support representative. We discussed the issue and resolved the situation; they sent me verification codes, and so on. Eventually, I was able to play my games again—such as Farming Simulator 22, Forza 5, and SnowRunner—but whenever I try to play CS:GO 2, I cannot connect to their servers. I’ve just returned from vacation and contacted Steam Support again, and they asked me to purchase a specific item in Rust—the "GLORY AK-47"—which costs over €240. I told him I didn't have that kind of money and couldn't afford it, and now I feel like I'm being extorted. You can see part of my correspondence with support in the photos below. I hope someone can explain if this is normal and perhaps help me out.
