For new dads!
I first became a dad in 2020, and one thing I remember really clearly is how many questions were constantly running through my head.
Am I doing enough?
Why does this feel so hard?
When am I actually going to feel like a dad?
How do I support my partner when I’m struggling too?
There was endless information about babies — sleep, feeding, diapers, milestones — but I felt like there was a lot less conversation about what was actually going on inside the dad’s head.
Now, after going through the early stages of fatherhood a few times, I decided to start documenting some of the things I wish I could have heard back then.
I started a YouTube channel called Becoming & Being a New Dad where I talk about the questions, struggles, little wins and lessons that come with becoming a father.
A lot of it is just based on my own experiences. I’m definitely not trying to position myself as an expert or tell anyone how to parent. I’m just another dad sharing what I’ve learned and hopefully making another new dad feel a little less alone in what he’s thinking.
If you’re a new dad, expecting your first, or you’re a few years into this like me, I’d genuinely love to have you along for it.
