Sharing my free professional CV template. One page, modern

I used the same CV for close to two years without really looking at it. It wasn't bad, it just kept growing. Every job I'd add three bullets and never delete anything, so by the end it was a page and a half of dense text with margins I'd shrunk down to squeeze it in.

Rewrote it a few weeks ago on a cleaner one-page layout. Same jobs, same accomplishments, mostly the same wording, just reorganized with the dead weight cut. Started hearing back more. I'm not going to claim the template did it, the market shifts and I was applying to slightly different roles too. But it was enough of a change that I noticed.

What it is: plain single column, no sidebar, no photo, no skill bars with 4 out of 5 dots filled in. Standard section headers so ATS parsers don't mangle it. Fits on one page at a readable font size instead of 9pt with quarter inch margins. It's filled in with software dev content since that's what I do, but the structure works for anything, just swap the sections.

One-Page Professional CV Template

To use it: File > Make a copy. That drops a copy in your own Drive. Please don't request edit access on the original, I'm keeping it view only and I get a lot of those.

I stripped my info out and left placeholders, so replace everything in brackets.

Two things I'm curious about, since people here have opinions:

I kept a short summary at the top, which I know is contested. Half of you will say recruiters skip it entirely. I left it in because it lets you frame yourself for the role, but it's the first thing I'd cut if you're tight on space.

And is Core Competencies worth keeping, or is it just repeating Technical Skills? I go back and forth.
