ProRes doesn't work in version 26?
I've run in to a really peculiar problem where ProRes footage of any kind throws up frame substitution recursion errors, only in version 26. In version 25, everything is hunky dory. Attempts at rendering, either in Premiere or Media Encoder result in failures. The footage is from my BMPCC 6K recording ProRes LT.
Here's what I've tried troubleshooting:
- Deleting the media cache
- Changing the scratch disks to a drive with lots of space
- Changing the drive the media is on (currently on an SSD with a lot of other projects without ProRes that load fine)
- Renaming the files so they get knocked offline and then replacing them with the renamed file.
- Re-encoding to the same codec.
- Re-encoding to H.264 or other non-ProRes codecs does work, but isn't great for color grading.
Genuinely perplexing problem that I'd love assistance with!
My specs:
- Windows 11
- AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
- AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT
- 64 GB RAM
