The Alternate Locksat
I haven't seen much about it on the Reddit, but I'm sure I can't be alone in being highly disappointed at who Locksat turned out to be. I feel like they just shoehorned him in for funsies rather than any kind of plan.
In my opinion, it should have been Joanna Beckett. Imagine the reveal of her having faked her death and for nearly 20 years being the mastermind behind it all, pulling Bracken's strings and making him so afraid, he's willing to go along with it all.
It would add to the stakes even more as well, as Kate would have to take down her own mother and have an internal conflict about the action that drove her to be an officer in the first place. Plus, if she was taken down by Beckett, she would have been her own undoing, and there's a certain poetry in that.
Regardless of if you agree with me, I think we can mostly agree that Locksat was handled poorly in the show.
