I almost messaged you today (4)
It’s me again.
This will probably be the last post about you.
I saw you again Just like the last few times, we didn't talk. No awkward smiles. No "Hi." No accidental conversations. And surprisingly... I'm okay.
I don't know if you noticed me. I didn't catch you looking my way anymore. Maybe you're simply focused on where God has you now, and I think that's a good thing.
You looked okay. I saw you singing during praise and worship. I don't know why, but that made me smile.
You looked so into the songs, and for a brief moment, I forgot about all the awkwardness between us. I just saw someone worshiping God.
And yes... I still thought, "Ang cute mo pa rin."
I laughed at myself after that. Some things don't disappear overnight. But they also don't have to control me anymore.
I'm learning that it's possible to miss someone without chasing them. To care about someone without needing to be part of their story again. To quietly pray for someone without expecting anything in return.
I think that's where I am now.
If one day we happen to become friends again, I'll be grateful. If we remain two people who simply pass each other in church, I'll be grateful too. Because somewhere along the way, God changed both of us.
And maybe that's enough.
So today, I won't overthink the silence.
I'll just thank God that we're both still here.
Still worshiping.
Still serving.
Still being shaped by the same Savior.
Take care.
I'll continue cheering for you from a distance, and I'll continue letting God write the chapters that I don't need to write myself.
