I find it so hard to connect with people outside of parenting and the daily hustle. People at this stage only want to talk about kids activities, whose kid is playing soccer or tball. I was raised outside of NYC and find that I gravitate to people who are well traveled, sophisticated in their thoughts or just have a little more “je ne se quois” about them. I am a WOC, attractive in a non-Eurocentric way, health conscious and bougie when it matters.
