BPI auto loan approved, but…
Got my BPI auto loan approval today for a brand-new 2026 Honda BR-V (1.5 VX CVT). The issue: the approval lists the vehicle price as ₱1,420,000, but the price I was quoted by the dealership and the exact figure I entered on my loan application form was ₱1,325,000. That’s a ₱95,000 gap I can’t account for.
I haven’t signed the loan contract yet. Before I go back to my sales officer, I wanted to sanity-check with people who’ve been through this:
Is it normal for the bank’s approved figure to differ from the dealer’s quote?
Could this be the SRP showing instead of the discounted/net price I was quoted?
Could it be a variant or color mismatch? The approval says “VX CVT WP.”
Does the bank approve against SRP while the actual amount financed still uses the net price minus my down payment?
For context: 20% down, 5-year term. I just want to make sure I’m not about to sign for ₱95k more than I agreed to. Any insight from people who’ve financed through BPI (or bought a Honda recently) would be a huge help. Thanks!
