33 M- In search of a forever friend
I’m not sure how to start this, so I will just speak from the heart. I have no friends or family in my life, no one I can text with all day. I’m a 33 m disabled veteran living in Maine. I have my fiancé, and I’m grateful for her. We met shortly after I got out of the military and we have been through a lot together. She has a successful career, very proud and supportive of her. We moved to Maine from Mass for her job, I lost touch with a lot of people. Part of my disability is TBI (traumatic brain injury) so my memory of names from my past are murky. I downloaded facebook and tried to reestablish friendships with people from high school with mixed results. My fiancé works a lot and has a lot of evening work events to attend. I’m in search of a good friend to talk with everyday. Life is hectic and I don’t expect you to be glued to your phone. Just feeling that crippling loneliness and need that connection with someone. Enough rambling, let me tell you some things about myself.
I love to read, books are my life. Horror primarily, but will read anything with a good story. I have a vintage horror paperback collection that I’ve been working on for years. I love to thrift and collect sea glass. Listen to podcasts, and watch shows/movies. Absolute favorite show is The Office, and I’m never opposed to a reality tv binge. I can’t work right now with all of my health issues, but I do sell books online as a side hustle to keep myself busy. I look forward to new music every Friday, I’m excited football is coming back soon. If you made it this far, shoot me a message. We can yap about anything and everything. I won’t spam this sub so this is my one dart throw. Hopefully I can meet a forever friend, take care.
