VLC Startup Issue

Hi everyone,

I'm afraid I'm having an issue with VLC on Windows. For some time now, simply double-clicking a video is no longer enough to open it. It's as if I have to try launching it three or four times before the video actually opens. Does anyone know why this might be happening?
