Should I continue taking Xanax if it causes brain fog?

I'm having a relapse of OCD so my doc put me on zoloft 50mg for 1 week and 100mg from the following weeks.

He also prescribed xanax for 10 days to aid with the anxiety. Xanax is doing a really good job at killing off the OCD thoughts but it's also causing immense brain fog and I'm unable to think much or do much.

I'm unable to perform well at my internship as it needs me to innovate. I could ask the boss for some relaxation with the work.

But my question is should I discontinue xanax and wait for zoloft to do its thing or do as told by doc (xanax for 10 days and let zoloft handle the rest)?
