My 500 apartment new mega-development (in Manchester) doesn't have plastic recycling. How is that acceptable?

Is this normal? It's sad, especially since y'know the planet is on fire.

A quick Google search informed me that there is no legal obligation for developments like this to recycle. But it feels just so wrong to not recycle. Can I do anything about it?

We have cardboard, glass and general.

(I'm hoping I can keep this post, as sustainability impact of these new developments in Manchester should be important)
