Turning on Grindr Explore

Does turning on Grindr Explore means my profile gets more views within my local area than if i turn this off?

Ever since they brought in 'Boost' my profile barely gets seen in my local area and i know for definite i have not been blocked.

It is annoying as this is the only app that has the most users.
