My biggest contribution wasn't what I expected.
What's the smallest thing you've ever done that made the biggest difference?
For me, it wasn't teaching a classroom full of students but simply doing what I was actually good at: writing.
During my internship at Pehchaan The Street School, I realized that even something as simple as a social media post can encourage someone to volunteer, donate, or support a child's education. You rarely see the impact directly, and that's actually the interesting part. You never know which story convinces someone to care or which small action eventually creates a much bigger opportunity for a child.
I think we often underestimate the value of small contributions because they don't feel dramatic. But meaningful change isn’t built through one extraordinary act. At Pehchaan The Street School, I've seen how teachers, volunteers, donors, writers, and supporters each contribute one small piece to a child's learning journey.
None of them change a life alone, but together they create opportunities that last a lifetime.
