I751 Timeline so far

Hello All,

My wife and I filed for I751 and used this sub to get a ton of information on timelines and other helpful information via posts like this so I am including ours here to help others as well. We are still early on in the process but wanted to post our timeline so far and will update it as we get updates on our end. My wife is also from one of the 19 banned countries.

-Our first day we were eligible to file was Wendesday 07/22/2026 confirmed via USCIS calculator.

-Filed i751 7/26/2026 Sunday. Paid filing fee via credit card with Chase. Charge pending.

-Case was received and receipt notice sent status showed online on Tuesday 7/28/2026.

-Receipt notice showed up in online portal docs tab 7/30/2026 Thursday early in the morning. Credit card charge also went from pending to processed.

-Biometrics apptment scheduled notice is new status on case and online document received on 07/31 Friday late evening around 9pm.

-Received i797 receipt notice extension monday 08/03/2026.

Some items of note that helped is to definitely wait a couple days AFTER the first day you are eligible to apply. We submitted our application online on 7/26 and the online submission showed 7/26 submitted. However once we got the update that the case was received and receipt notice sent, the online submission showed as received on 7/24. I had read about this causing rejections for others who filed same day as calculator date so we waited a couple more days before filing. Not sure why this is not fixed but I highly suggest waiting at the very least 2 days to make sure.
